Explorer and Channel-DLL for Simatic WinCC add Communication with OPC Unified Architecture Servers.

The software-package contains:

• a Browser to discover and select the computer with the OPC-UA-Server, brwose its address-space, select the items which are needed in the WinCC-project and automatically create them as external tags.
• a Channel-DLL which provides reading and writing of the tags in Runtime-mode.

According to the update-cycles configured for the controls on the PDL-screens, in Tag-Logging, Alarm-Logging and Global Scripts, the channel-DLL will automatically create appropriate subscriptions and add monitored items with the OPC-UA-server. Using WinCC-scripts, values of tags can be read and written synchronously. Security (Sign bzw. Sign and Encrypt) and Access Control are supported according to the OPC-UA specification.
